The Ceramic Foam Filter of SELEE® Structure was the first cost-effective media to remove non-metallic inclusions from molten aluminum.

Introduced by SELEE in the mid-1970s, it continues to be the standard for aluminum filtration in cast shops all over the world.

As the stream of molten aluminum alloy travels through the 50mm thick tortuous path of the filter, non-metallic inclusions are captured inside the ceramic structure.

The filtered metal is significantly cleaner. Cleaner metal results in higher-quality castings, less scrap, and fewer inclusion defects, all of which contribute to bottom-line profit.

Ceramic Foam Filters of SELEE® Structure are available in sizes from 225mm to 660mm square and in a wide range of pore sizes.

SELEE filters include patented preheat dots for temperature indication as well as our Safeseal® and other proprietary gaskets for a secure fit in the filter bowl.
